Cancellation Fees

The cancellation penalty is based on a change in French Law, which does not allow registration of a vehicle to be made invalid for short-term leasing.

The lease vehicle once registered can no longer be considered a new vehicle and incurs a cancel penalty of € 800 EUR.

** Please note PSA (Peugeot/Citroen/DS) has worked with Auto Europe, and have provided a special cancelation promotion. If customers pay by the end of April 2022 and travel until December 31, 2022.
If customers need to change or cancel , and do so with at least 24 hours before pick up through Auto Europe; customers will receive a full refund back to the original form of payment on the booking voucher.**

*** Also Renault is offering for all cars booked until March 31st 2022 with pick up until December 31, 2022 FREE CANCELLATIONS.***

Full Refund

• DO NOT CANCEL UNTIL BELOW STEPS ARE FOLLOWED:
• Send an e-mail to Lisbon-res@autoeurope.pt and the Admin team will then forward to Danijela - Auto Europe Danijela@autoeurope.com .
• Cancel the voucher after receiving the e-mail back from Danijela, as she has to cancel the leasing in the manufacturer's confirmations 'systems first.
• After Supplier Cancellation is received from Danijela/Lisbon-Res then Voucher can be cancelled.
• ONLY if car is not confirmed, there is no need to send the Admin team an e-mail via Lisbon-res@autoeurope.pt , on this situation you can cancel the voucher and send a cancellation e-mail to the client.

Cancel with Penalty

• DO NOT CANCEL UNTIL BELOW STEPS ARE FOLLOWED:
• Send an e-mail to Lisbon-res@autoeurope.pt and the Admin team will then forward to Danijela - Auto Europe Danijela@autoeurope.com .
• After Supplier Cancellation is received from Danijela/Lisbon-Res then Voucher can be amended to a Cancelled with Fee.
• Change the SIPP to XXANXX "Cancellation Penalty" ( only using Paris as City, see image below ) after receiving the e-mail back from Danijela, as she has to cancel the leasing in the manufacturer's confirmations 'systems first. - EXCEPT RENAULT CANCELLATIONS, VALID ONLY FOR Peugeot and Citroen & DS (for Renault we have to ask Danijela to create one SIPP).
• Convert €50- €840 ( depends on the Supplier ) to applicable currency and build up rate.

Cancellation with Penalty Example:

RENAULT

All cancellation taking place until 21 days before the delivery date: 52.50€ of cancellation fees
All cancellation taking place between 21 days or less before the delivery date: 800 Euros VAT Free will be charged by the maker. 50% (400€) will be deducted from the customer's next order of a Renault/Dacia vehicle

***Free cancellations are back for all orders placed by September 30th 2021, for pickups through to December 31st 2021.***

All modification received less than 24 working days before the delivery date will be charged 300 Euros VAT Free by the maker (subject to acceptance by the manufacturer).

PEUGEOT

All cancellation taking place until 21 days before the delivery date: 50 € cancellation fees. 

All cancellation taking place between 21 days or less before the delivery date: 300 Euros VAT Free will be charged by the maker if the vehicle is not yet registered.

All cancellation of a registered vehicle: 800 Euros VAT Free will be charged by the maker

All name changes on the contract: a 50 € fee will apply

Abandoned vehicle:

- If the vehicle is abandoned in the same city as the delivery center:

• the client will be charged all expenses engaged for repatriating the car plus annex fees (parking, storage, etc.), charged by Peugeot Open Europe

If the vehicle is abandoned in a city other than the delivery center:

• other than the annex fees, the client will be charged 400 € if the vehicle is abandoned in France and 600 € if the vehicle is abandoned in another country

CITROËN

All cancellation taking place until 21 days before the delivery date: 50 € cancellation fees.

All cancellation taking place between 21 days or less before the delivery date: 300 Euros VAT Free will be charged by the maker if the vehicle is not yet registered.

All cancellation of a registered vehicle: 800 Euros VAT Free will be charged by the maker

All name changes on the contract: a 50 € fee will apply

Abandoned vehicle:

- If the vehicle is abandoned in the same city as the delivery center:

• the client will be charged all expenses engaged for repatriating the car plus annex fees (parking, storage, etc.), charged by Citroën Champ de Mars

If the vehicle is abandoned in a city other than the delivery center:

• other than the annex fees, the client will be charged 400 € if the vehicle is abandoned in France and 600 € if the vehicle is abandoned in another country

DS Automobiles

All cancellation taking place until 21 days before the delivery date: 50 € cancellation fees.

All cancellation taking place between 21 days or less before the delivery date: 300 Euros VAT Free will be charged by the maker if the vehicle is not yet registered.

All cancellation of a registered vehicle: 800 Euros VAT Free will be charged by the maker

All name changes on the contract: a 50 € fee will apply

Abandoned vehicle:

- If the vehicle is abandoned in the same city as the delivery center:

• the client will be charged all expenses engaged for repatriating the car plus annex fees (parking, storage, etc.), charged by DS Automobiles

If the vehicle is abandoned in a city other than the delivery center:

• other than the annex fees, the client will be charged 400 € if the vehicle is abandoned in France and 600 € if the vehicle is abandoned in another country
